The Countdown is on…

In just one month, downtown Murphy will transform into a street festival boasting the most amazing local and regional talent. The best food trucks, breweries, and wineries, axe throwing, artists, bounce houses, local handcrafted goods, a free photo booth, AND a kids carnival. But our favorite thing about Murphy Spring Festival… Where else can you find a FREE 8 hour concert?!

Beginning at noon on Saturday May 11th, the Murphy Spring Festival food trucks will be lined along Tennessee Street with the most delicious offerings ranging from local favorites like The Ark to kid-friendly snacks and kettle corn.

No need to lug lawn chairs downtown… Seating will be available near the McNabb Properties Beer & Wine Garden or you can snack and stroll as you peruse the many booths and meet local Artists, Crafters, and even Farmers.

Western North Carolina Breweries, Wineries, and Meaderies will be pouring regional favorites in one super convenient location… right in front of the Peachtree Broadband Fiber Music Stage on Tennessee Street. We’ll get the party started with some local talent at noon and end the day with a Nashville band that is sure to be a new road trip-worthy favorite! (Just wait until you hear their “Babe I’m Gonna Leave you” – Led Zeppelin cover.) The Garden of Eden will take the stage at 6:00 pm.

The best part… you can sip and stroll anywhere on Tennessee St. Yep, you can enjoy that craft beer or wine slushy while you shop local for your one-of-a-kind Mother’s Day gift, take in the entertainment at the stage, or gather your friends and family at the Jubilee photo booth.

Last year, we added bounce houses and a kids carnival on Valley River Ave. This year, we’re super excited about our collaboration with Cherokee County Arts Council. Not only will CCAC showcase Artist demonstrations and local fine art on Valley River Avenue, but more local musicians will be performing on a second music stage. We’re excited to welcome back the popular axe throwing and businesses offering free activities for the kids and giveaways. As your checking out the vendors, be sure to pop into local businesses! It’s the best way to spend the weekend with friends and family, celebrating the Mamas in your life.

If you’re not following us yet, now is the time! We’ll be posting more of the music, breweries, and wineries that you can look forward to Saturday May 11th at Murphy Spring Festival.
