I know every parent was googling things to do in Murphy, NC with kids the past couple of weeks when the weather was too cold or rainy to go outside. I remember the days… At one point, when I had 3 kids under 5, I rearranged our furniture, moved the rug, and put one of those lil tikes climb and slides right in our living room just to get a little bit accomplished.
So this post is for the parents with littles, just trying to stay sane and juggle all the things while trying to raise incredible humans. I stopped by to chat with Pastor Wil Posey of Murphy First UMC so he could share more details and show everyone the awesome new space…
I am so proud of the efforts of Murphy First United Methodist Church to bring our community the FUMC Children’s Center. For the past couple of years, great effort has been put into researching, funding, and staffing a Montessori-based preschool. Beginning February 5th at noon, the registration will be open until February 19, 2024. Parents of potty trained 3-5 year olds are encouraged to enroll their kids on a first come, first served basis.
Classes will follow the Cherokee County Schools calendar and begin on March 4, 2024. We love that the children will be learning at their own individual pace in the Montessori style of study.
